Hello friend! I’m so glad you’re here. Cooking Lessons is a weekly newsletter of recipes to inspire you and help you get homemade food on the table. I’ve got some extra little ‘lessons’ too, and I hope they make your cooking easier. When I see a new subscriber in my inbox (free or paid) or when you share a post, my heart flutters just a little. That subtitle is a bit of a hyperbole. I couldn’t begin to name my favorite cookbook (it’s like identifying your favorite child), never mind a list of my best picks. It’s a fickle undertaking. Yesterday I was all-in for reigniting my bread obsession, today (because we’re in holiday mode) I’m on a quest for a new cookie, and tomorrow I’ll want an easy peasy dinner.

BUT, if I was stranded on a desert island (with a kitchen, some pots and pans, and a good grocery store ) I would want to take these five cookbooks with me.

I know, who needs another …
